Photographer’s Note
Part of the complex altarpiece in the church of Santa Maria la mayor, in the Andalucian town of Ronda. The church was built on the site of a mosque, after the Christians conquered the Muslims who had live here for hundreds of years. Like many Spanish churches, it is dark and spooky inside, but is full of ornate decoration.
I underexposed this photo to stop the brightest parts from burning out, then used a contrast mask in Photoshop to lighten up the darker areas in the background.

The soft lights and the golden hues have been well handled and very nicely captured here

Hello Vincent,
Beautiful dark colour tones as a background for the emerging clearer details.
A pleasure to look at.
Regards,
Paul
