Night before race (IX): Mircea Photo

Photographer’s Note

Again in Santa Cruz before the start of race 2 of the Tall Ships' Atlantic Challenge 2009: two views of Micea, the Romanian Navy sail training ship.
In main post, Mircea is on the right, with the Russian Kruzenshtern on the left.
In workshop, another view of Mircea, this time on the left, with the Argentian Navy Libertad on the right.

Both views show the limitations of an extra-wide lens, but I like the impression given by the distorsion in the main post: Kruzenshtern looks as if she was to sail right into the Mircea!
