Photographer’s Note

This is another attempt to use my digital camera like a scanner, I guess this was the best I got in that 3 attempts.
Here we can see the tower of San Martin Church, in Avila. It is a romanesc church build around 12th or 13th century and rebuild between 16th to 18th century. The style of its tower is Mudejar art. I think it is one of the most impressive buildings in Avila, despite it isn’t one of the main tourist attractions of the town. This church is located out of the ring of walls of the city.

Mais uma tentativa de usar minha câmera digital como scanner, acho que esta foto foi a melhor das 3 tentativas.
Vemos aqui a torre da Igreja de San Martin em Àvila. É uma igreja românica que foi erguida entre os séculos 12 e 13, sendo reformada entre os séculos 16 e 18. O estilo de sua torre é Mudejar. Creio que é uma das mais belas igrejas de Ávila apesar de não estar na lista de suas principais atrações turísticas. A igreja fica localizada fora do cinturão de muralhas da cidade.

nice picture of this church tower with a really good quality for that quite unusual scan technique. I like the vertical format, the framing and the textures of the tower. Well done.

bueno pues no ha salido tan mal, me gusta la composicion, los tonos y colores palidos crean una atmosfera interesante, me gusta el sabor de foto antigua, buen trabajo!

sem dúvida aqui o teste funcionou bem melhor! Estava acreditando que você uma fotografia direta, caso não houvesse lido a nota.
A torre é bonita com detalhes marcantes nos tijolos.
A árvore a direita agregou valor ao tema, a meu ver.

Aqui o teu trabalho de "scanning" ficou muito bem. As cores estão lindas e a definição é excelente.

Muito interessante essa torre quadradona com o teto que parece plano, pelo menos visto desse ângulo. A nitidez ficou muito boa nessa! Tá ficando interessante essa série de fotos "escaneadas" com a câmera!

Distinct old photo, it is just look like new, clear to see the brick wall of the old tower, nice blue sky as background, good pov to include branches too, thanks for sharing an old photo.

Uma torre de igreja muito bonita. Excelentes detalhes arquitectonicos.
As cores tambem estao uma maravilha, e gosto principalmente do contraste com o ceu azul

A composição ficou muito bonita com a inclusão do galho a dar profundidade. O trabalho com a cam ficou muito bom, sem observações.

Quite good both composition (thanks to that tree at the left)and bell tower. Even if I know a lot of romanesque churches I had never seen such a style like that. Part in stones and part bricks.

I'm really amazed how well are coming out the scannings, I want to try myself!! But you need a big print I guess (how big was this one?). Most of my old photos are slides.
