Christmas time? no, it was yesterday!! Photo

Photographer’s Note

Friday there was something big, really big in my village.
What?
It snowed?

Nearly 20 cm.
The next day was really cold. And the nexy day, yesterday, even colder.
Really, this night we suffered -20º C and the ice was terrible.
Friday was not possible use the car and Saturday I changed my "car" (I had to go to the work).
Yesterday and today I had no water: it was frozen!!
I cannot use the car (is frozen too).
Yesterday and also this morning there was ice in the door of my house: but inside the house!!

As you can see these days are really cold days.

But who cares about villages like this one?
In the news they said we had only -5º C... of course, they speak about the cities, not about the little villages.

However, if you care about me, please, don't do. I'am ready for this cold time. In my house I have a very nice chimney... but the warm is only in the dinning-room (in the bedroom I have, I am lucky, 2º C).

I read this with smile... -20? This is quite normal temperature in winter. My car is on, no problems, water too... But we are prepared, obviously...
I realise that such weather could be a distaster in Spain.

Y que son 20 bajo cero para los machotes mayores del reina burgalés? Supongo que poca cosa no? Así que déjate de quejar ya hombre, que jasmis te lo ha dejado clarito que allí es habitual...

I smiled at you note to me. I am impressed; you are an example to us all! ;D I don't think many of us associate this kind of weather with Spain. It has been colder than in the UK. Parts of the UK have had extreme cold and snow, but on the coast where I live it has been cold enough, when you add in the wind chill factor, but nothing like this. When the sun came out you took advantage and produced this lovely winter panorama.

Caray si que hay nieve por ahi no?? Esas temperaturas es como estar en mi nevera o congelador.... Ayer aqui en Barcelona hizo un sol y una temperatura estupendos.

Hola Carlos.
A pesar del frio y todo lo que pasaste para ir al trabajo has conseguido una preciosa escena de invierno con toda esa nieve cubriendo la villa y sus campos, tu alto POV nos permite disfrutar de una vista panorámica. No me gusta el frio, no sabes lo que en estos momentos estoy disfrutando aquí en Santo Domingo de una tarde soleada y con 26 grados C. He visto por TVE lo que ha pasado en España, las tormentas de nieve, fuertes vientos y por supuesto lo de Barajas, eso si esta fuerte.
Un fuerte abrazo.

Olá Carlos, I'm still 'avoiding' to write on your last post so I found this one which is a lovely winter view covered with so much snow. And that's something a bit exotic for Lisbon, although in the North of Portugal similar stories to your note happened also. The exposure on the snow seems excellent to me and the road makes a great diagonal across the view.
