Photographer’s Note
68 pictures stitched and almost 180º... yes, this is Cocoland (and I miss this place a lot).
Some people say dogs are the best friend of the human beings... that's not true. Man's best friend is: the tripod.
It was a day of September. I was waiting for the best moment of the day to make a few shots... what moment? Just before the sunset when the light is warm and creates horizontal shadows.
Then I was ready with the camera and with my tripod. I reach a little rock and from there I shot.
The photo was made from tha same place where I took this picture and maybe you recognize some places on this picture (I, II, III).
This view is very very wide. When I say almost 180º, really I mean more than 180º.
It looks a bit strange, but when you stitch pictures you're able to do that (and 68 pictures let you a lot of possibilities, believe me).
Also it was very fun make this kind of pictures... somedays I was running because I didn't want to lose the light of the afternoon and the time is very short when you make so many pictures... and, I haven't said before: I used the 17-70 lens, but I use at 70mm. I think that let me have more details and quality on the picture.
And, as a curiosity: can you see my shadow on the picture?
I hope you like it.

Hello Carlos,
68 shots, that is a monumental effort, and yes, I see your shadow on top of the rock.
What has happened to the clouds on the extreme right of the image, they look a little strange.
Congratulations on a fine photo job, it is a brilliant image.
Regards
Peter

68 images!! Wow! you're bound to get a lot of detail in so many images. You're challenging Didi for the record. The detail in the large version is excellent. Is that your village on the left? I can see your shadow on the hill top! Interestingly there is a kind of symmetry in the cloud formation. Are the darker blue patches from using a polariser?
Very good work

Hi, Coco,
Yes, I too noticed your shadow before reading the critiques (but not before reading your description).
It is a great concept and really stretches the imagination for what can be accomplished with our modern photographic tools.
I like the richness of the tones especially in the land surface. (The blue of the sky seems a bit too deep.)
Thanks for all the work and for sharing it with us!

Saludos cordiales.

Congratulation about your stitched work, I have a lot difficult with three pictures!

Hello Carlos,
I wish I could give ten point for the effort!
This is impressive and amazing and for sure, nothing I could do... I'm not even close to have the patience for this kind of work...
You mention shadows, fun thing is they seem to come from different directions hehehe!

Hi Carlos.
The picture is very attractive and the used technique too.
However you forgot to write whether the single shots were vertical or horizontal and how long time you need to do all.

Hello Carlos,
This is an amazing view, and I am deeply impressed by what you and many other versatile photographers can do with the digital technique. I am not that clever. The rural scenery is beautiful and the colours are very nicely saturated.
Kind regards,

Wow amigo,
68 photos????? Did you pc/laptop run for hours?
I once made a 24 stitched panorama and it took my laptop around 1 hours to calculate the stitching. Excellent brown fields, I love those summer colors a lot.

Estimado Don Carlos Serrano..."Coco"...
Impresionado me hallo!!

Hi Carlos - a great effort must have worked your computer overtime on the stitching!
You've managed to get the light fairly even over the whole shot.

Hola Carlos
I'm really, really impressed by your stijtch... 68 pictures, what an ambitious work ! I've never tried the technics and I wonder if one day I'll succeed with 3 images, so for me, it's just incredible ;o)
The large view is awesome. Many details to observe, even your shadow on the hill.
The warm colours are marvelous, and your light management is great.
Excellent work, sincere compliments.

this is very impressive, I don't think I'll ever have patience to try something as monumental as combination of 68 photos :)
love the result, despite the uneven polarization (may be a layer of gradient filter can help?). the level of detail is excellent, great work.
