Photographer’s Note
At the cost of a sore neck, looking up, up, up in Segovia's magnificent cathedral.
Segovia Cathedral is quite special, not just because of its splendour - it happens to be the very last Gothic cathedral to be built in Spain. Also, it stands on the spot where Isabella I was proclaimed Queen of Castile.
"Begun in 1525, the construction of Segovia Cathedral was ordered by Charles V to replace an earlier cathedral near the Alcázar, which had been destroyed during the War of the Comuneros, a revolt against that king.
The designs for the cathedral were drawn up by the leading late-Gothicist Juan Gil de Hontañón but executed by his son Rodrigo, in whose work can be seen a transition from the Gothic to the Renaissance style. The cathedral was finally completed in 1768 and consecrated on July 16 of that year. "

Hi Levente.
This is not the best Spanish gothic, but it is a very interesting picture. As also your picture.
Fine work and composition with this low POV.

Hello Levente,
it is a really beautiful ceiling and I like the way you have positioned it in the frame with white and colourful circles on the diagonal.
Best regards

Hey Levente,
A lovely point of focus. I was searching for it a while. Great clarity where it`s supposed to be. The central arc, or whatever you want to call it, is very nicely defined, sharp and clear. The angle is also superb, and really the source of the "drama" in this one.
Best regards.
