Photographer’s Note

Yes, this people look crazy.
They are in the biggest correfoc of the world (the Merce's correfoc).
The Merce is the party of Barcelona.

They do it in Via Laietana but I think they should do it inside the city hall or inside the major's house (do you know I am but angered with these thieves?).

But maybe this party change soon because some people don't like this party with fire (the European Union).

For now, enjoy the fire and the people who rule it.

Visual y fotográficamente se trata de un acontecimiento muy atractivo , pero como dices en tu nota , el acontecimiento no es del todo inofensivo .

La verdad Coco, es que un correfoc debe ser todo un espectáculo, y todas las imágenes que veo sobre este tema, tienen siempre un dinamismo y una luz muy, muy atractivas.

Cuando vivía en Barcelona y había correfocs siempre acababa metiéndome en algún portal. Esta cultura del fuego y el ruido es muy mediterránea, yo no meto ahí en medio ni loca.
Una foto intererante, llena de acción.

Hello Carlos..definitely in the scene..a low pov certainly makes it look fresh..i was thinking a lower shutter but 1/50..this is high iso for sure..it makes the most unusually attractive compositions..

Me gusta la inclinación de la cámara que da una impresión de velocidad. También, incluso, el que la foto esté algo movida, dentro de un orden. Eso aumenta la sensación de que algo excitante está pasando. Lo que más me atrae es como las chispas se extienden desde un punto arriba en la foto por toda la parte derecha en forma de radios.
Finalmente, hay que felicitar el valor para meterse en este jaleo a hacer la foto. ¿Ibas tan tapado como los que salen en la foto o a pecho descubierto? Sólo un par de veces, cuando era más joven, he estado en "correfoc" y asusta un poco. Sobre todo unos petardos que los llamaban aquí "encorreviejas". Esos tenían muy mala intención.

Hola Carlos, good series of this crazy group playing with fire on the streets. Very dynamic and full of energy. Looks like you were hidding under the ground...you were scared but you still did the job.

there are some dangerous parties using fire and fireworks in brazil too, sometimes someone is damaged by that. despite this the pleasure of dealt with the beauty of the fire is more strong.

i like playing with fire, actually i like fire, and what you present here is so much full of the energy of fire. 1/50 gave you elongated sparkes, and this even increases the joy further. the tilt and crop are useful to further improve the continuity and energy, already succeeded with the long dots of fire.
