Archbishop's Palace.
Toledo residence of archbishops from the thirteenth century until the nineteenth century. Surprises the visitor with their grandeur, although the palace suffered a devastating fire in August 1939 that killed most of his artistic legacy and documentary. The beautiful main facade we see today, drawn by Alonso de Covarrubias in the sixteenth century, is just one of those belonging to the four courts that had the building. Draws attention to the old Hall Councils-a body attached to the aisle for their dedicated mainly Gothic-Mudejar. Complete all the tower of Archbishop Pedro Tenorio, who reminds us that took the first use the building as a defensive fortress.

The palace was very important to the history of Castile. It cuts and councils were held as of 1348, which led to the legal result of Alcalá. Was born within its walls to notables such as Catherine of Aragon and the Emperor Ferdinand of Austria and was also one of the doors for the discovery of America, as it held the first meeting between Christopher Columbus and Queen Isabella , in 1486.
