La Puerta de Madrid is a city landmark Madrid Alcala de Henares (Madrid, Spain). It is located on Calle Andrés Saborit of the town near the center of the same, resulting from the traditional entry route linking the town of Alcala Madrid. Madrid in turn has a Gate of Alcala in geographical correspondence with this complutense.

Replacing one of the gates of the old city walls. It was rebuilt in 1788 during the reign of Charles III, by Cardinal Lorenzana, archbishop of Toledo. Directed the work the architect Antonio Juana Jordan. The building is stone pediment and neoclassical label. It is considered the latest work of architectural splendor of Alcalá.

As a curiosity, has seen some movies. For example, the classical triumphal procession passes under the arch Spartacus, 'romanized' purpose.

The space is behind the door, once crossed, was decades before the name of Square Barley. Today, in the street is assimilated to the surrounding streets.

¿Sales en Espartaco?
La verdad que me suena un poco (hace poco revisité la película), pero no lo sitúo.
En cualquier caso me gusta la luz, la composición y el azul del cielo.

Además me parece curiosa la inclinación del suelo (parece más efecto de una distorsión que no otra cosa).

Hola Manuel.
Que grato encontrarme esta imagen de Alcalá, paso por aqui con mucha frecuencia pues tengo una hermana que vive en Alcalá, concretamente esta tarde la he pasado alli y mira nunca se me ocurrio hacerle una foto a la Puerta de Madrid. Te copiaré.
El resultado es realmente muy atractivo, muy buen color y un azul del cielo espectacular.
