Finca auf Mallorca.
Mallorca (lat. insula maior, später Maiorica – „die größere Insel“, im Vergleich zu Menorca) ist eine spanische Insel. Sie liegt im westlichen Mittelmeer, 261 Kilometer von Valencia, 170 Kilometer von Barcelona und 315 Kilometer von Algier entfernt.
Mallorca ist die größte Insel der Balearen-Gruppe, die zusammen mit den Pityusen als spanische Region eine autonome Gemeinschaft innerhalb des spanischen Staates bildet. Auf Mallorca befindet sich die Hauptstadt der Balearischen Inseln, Palma. Amtssprachen sind katalanisch und spanisch. |
