Photographer's Note

Good Morning Friends,

Please see a larger, sharper version here.

Whitby is renown for its steps which lead from the pretty seaside town to the ruined abbey (famous as the inspiration for Dracula).
You have to count the steps as you climb them. Are there 199 or 198? I counted 199!
It is a trek to climb the steps but worth every ounce of effort. From the top, you have the most amazing views of the bay, of the quaint little town, the ruined abbey, the church of St. Mary and, probably more important on a warm day, a chance to have an ice-cream.
I never tire of visiting Whitby for its pretty buildings, its sense of history and its wonderful seafood.

Have a great Sunday,
Bev :-)
