Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

When we were young, we were always told to 'watch the birdie' if we were having our photograph taken. It was a good way of ensuring complete concentration on the camera!

When I took this shot, at Morecambe, that phrase came into my mind, for obvious reasons.

Morecambe has implemented a theme of birds along the promenade area of the town. There are some splendid statues: on the rocks, on the walls, on the railings, and they are well worth a visit to see them.

This shot shows cormorants on the rocks. They look splendid as they stand, wings outstretched in a petrified pose, for all to see.

They are the photographers friend. They never move!

Obviously, with such a subject, there were other photographers taking advantage of the subject and the late afternoon sunshine.

Click here if you would like to see further images of Morecambe's promenade with some other bird statues.

Many thanks for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed the visit.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)
