Rayen Castle is an adobe castle in Kerman province.Arg-e-Rayen is considered the biggest medieval mudbrick structure of Kerman province after Bam Citadel which was destroyed in an earthquake a few years ago. The castle was built during the pre-islamic Sassanid era, although what is remained today belongs to the Islamic period architecture.
Rayen, located on the foothills of Hezar Mountains enjoys a pleasant climate. The mountain with a height of 4465 meters is the highest mountain in the province and the fourth of Iran.

Hi Attila,
A great shot indeed. I really like the contrast foreground castle against the snowy mountains, and nice inclusion of the woman in the scene. Very well composed shot. I only didn't like much your wide brown outside frame, but this is just my preference. I think the overall result was great.
Take care

Hello Attilla, this is a nicely lit shot with good colour and contrast. The lady in her black clothing adds local context. I like the mountain in the background too. There's a little evidence of your post processing work along the ramparts but nothing too serious.

Another fascinating view, old architecture on a background of spectacular mountains, I like the presence of the veiled woman who adds a bit of life in this scenery, good pano framing too that makes it wider.

Hi Attila,
amazing murals spreading against this exiting, partly snowy mountainious background...such a wide angle was probably asking for a nice panoramic crop...colour tones are very dusty increasing the almost mysterious atmosphere of this place...cheeers, arturo

Hi
This is a magnificent castle located in the beatiful mountain scennery. The picture seemed to be very quiet and abandoned to me at first, but then I saw this woman coming! Interesting effect.
Too bad I didn't see this place. I was passing Kerman in the bus, but my visa was too short to visit other cities. At leats I saw Bam before the earthquake.
Take care

sembra venuta fuori dalle rovine.
100 pt per questa foto sono meritati.
Al prossimo giro :)

All in one!.
Great informative note, and antastic photo, including a human to give sense of dimension, snow mountain in the bg, good composition of this castle, razor sharp, and nice colours.
Just one question: is the surface of the wall that smooth, or is it the result of noise reduction?
Salute
