The shot was taken from the garden of the Abbasi Hotel in Esfahan. It is a very nicely restored old caravansaray with a beautiful garden. It is a part of a complex which consists of a school, bazaar and the caravansaray in itself and it was built at the time of king Sultan Hossein of Safavids about 300 years ago. King Soltan Hossein attributed this magnificent complex of building to his mother. That is why it is called "the school and caravansaray of Madar-shah", which means king's mother.
The theological school of the complex is visible in the background, nowadays called Madrasé-yé Chahar Bagh and usually is closed to the public.

When I took these shots a storm with heavy rain was coming and I just had the time to take some of them. The dark grey sky is due to the weather conditions at that time.

Beautiful shot, I remember when it was called the Shah Abbas Hotel and the school was open to the public, but that was a different time then.

Congratulations Attila, despite the low aperture you made a very sharp picture from the foreground to the background (only the tower in distance is out of focus). I guess you didn't have a tripod for choosing such a setup.

I would say more than two in one so many are the different levels here, we have the fountain, the table and chairs, the tree lines and finally this hotel that looks more like the a palace of an ancient emperor.
The photo's exposure is great as the colours and sharpness.

This is a very nice shot; I like these soft colours, but also bright at the same time. And this dome is really fantastic. The arabesques appear clearly. It increases my wish to see Isfahan.

Nice compo and beautiful lighting and colors.
The way you managed to put all the elements in the frame is fantastic. BTW i wish that lantern in the middle of the picture was vertical it distracts the attention to the picture although it was out of your control. this is one of those cases that raises the big question for me again. if I was the photographer should I correct it in PS or not?... I don't know.

Hello Attila.
Just superb. The light is captured so well that the colors come bursting out of the fame. What stunning pastels and the different layers of interst in the shot are great. Frome the wonderful light in the fountain up front to the deep grey of the sky above you have outdone yourself. Also, the detail on the dome creates a lovely scene of light and texture in the sky.

These blue dome and minaret in the background are really fabulous, this is the kind of Persia out of the tales that I dream of (more than the current geopolitical news, anyway...). I am more reserved about the armchairs around the ornemental pond, but they are partly hidden by the nice lighted fountain in th foreground. Vey good sharpenss.

The soft tones and the lighting are what more attracts me of this beautiful image, where the illuminated front of the building and the dome and the minaret in background, they contrast with many elegance with the trees of the garden, the lamppost, the chairs and the decorative fountain.

Csodálatos hangulatú fotó, gyönyörű részletekkel. A mesés kelet csillogását és misztikumát sikerült felidézni, ráadásként a kép előterében álló szökőkút nem csekély mértékben erősíti az esztétikai összetevőket. A számos csillogó apró részlet tökéletes egészet alkot. Már többször megfigyeltem, hogy az előtértől a háttérig lépcsőzetesen kitöltöd a teret, minden térrészletben megpróbálsz valami érdekeset vagy szépet bemutatni. Mindez sikerült most is, a hangulat és látvány magával ragadó. Szép képeket és Napokat!

2 in one is a good title for your compo...I like especially the beautiful dome and minaret in BG which contrast with the modern rooms of the abassi hotel. The color of the water and the fountain blend nicely with the dome/minaret colors. The differents lights look good too...
