Photographer’s Note

The fifth portrait in my gallery is another famous turkish name. The painter Esref Uren. I portayed him just a few months before he passed away.
He was than 87 and painted even the day before he died.
This capture was been made during his last exhibition he kept in Ankara. I am lucky and proud to have known him and have a wonderfull oil painting of him, hanging on the wall of my living room.
On WS you can see the dedication, he had written on the bakside of this portrait.

Galerimdeki beşinci portre, başka bir ünlü Türk. Ressam Eşref Üren. Bu portresini ölümünden birkaç ay evvel çekmiştim. 87 yaşında öldüğünde, bir gün evveline kadar paleti ve fırçası elindeydi.
Bu portresini Ankaradaki son sergisinde çekmiştim.
Ona ait bir tablo evimin oturma odasının duvarında asılı.

Ein sehr einfühlsames, "leises" und irgendwie zurückhaltendes Portrait, das den Betrachter gefangen nimmt ... Nah und doch mit respektvollem Abstand. Gefällt mir sehr!

merhaba hocam,
harika ışık kullanımıyla yine çok özel bir portre.keşke böyle güzel insanlar ölümsüz olsa,hep yaşasa diye düşünmeden edemiyor insan..nur içinde yatsın..

nice dark photo, a fine study of light, interesting how the face is facing the window
for my personal tastes, i would add some more contrast to avoid the white dull of the actual image
