Photographer's Note

A Turkish sculpturer living in this disrict has created the huge iron pigeon and installed it on one of the main squares of Kadikoy (Calchedon of the antiquity) on the Asian part of İstanbul.
And people use the feed the "normal" pigeons there with corn and wheat.
And so the place has gotten a quite popular meeting points for the people living there from 7 to 70 !

A very curious place, the steel pigeon is impressive.
Good framing, colors and sharpness.
I like this scene from daily life.

Hello Mesut,
The sculpture is quite nicely designed. It's a slight pity that it's partly covered with graffiti, but maybe that reflects its position as a meeting-point for people of all kinds from 7 to 70, for whom this kind of monument is not revered the same way as a statue of Atatürk or someone else at that level. The colours are very good and the light is well handled. But the little boy behind the rusty pigeon is well below 7. And what were you doing there? You are well above 70. ;-)

Hello Mesut,

The cities in Europe and sure in Belgium are almost all doves removed.
The nice old buildings were destroyed by the droppings
An excellent sharp and clear photographed.

Bonjour Mesut,

Ils semblent bien gras ces pigeons sur la place. On voit que les passants les nourrissent, même si cela va probablement leur retomber sur la tête un jour ou l'autre.

une statue pigeon avec des piégeons au dessus quelle image et compo cette petite place avec les personnes les pigeons quei se posent sur leur statue et ceux au so sur le pavage cette couleur ocre ces inscriptions fantastique vue

Hello Mesut,

I spotted a seagull atop the building surveying the pigeons and any spare simit crumbs! Good sharpness in this superb daily life scene and the rusty sculpture provides a strong focal point. Tfs!

A beautifully designed giant pigeon made of steel.
A place that encourages people to feed the pigeons here, but unfortunately also a failed graffiti artist to daub the legs.

The buildings are framing well the sculpture. The point of view is showing thedetails of the sculpture and of the pigeons. The presence of the persons is animating the scene. Have a nice day.
