Hello Ertan,
fantastic shot of the spectacular Sumela Monastery. POV, colours and subject are really great. The best of course is the very special moment with the snow and the fog.
And one question: "S-ü-mela" - Is this the usual pronunciation in Turkish? If yes it would be a really interesting case of ligusitc turcifiacation of a greek word (in Greek: Sumela respectively Σουμελά).

Merhaba Ertan,
Cüneyt Abi'ye sizden bahsederken "öğrencileriniz" dediğim için pişmanım. Resmen halt etmişim. Affet. :)

Olağanüstü bir bakış açısı ve atmosfer. Özellikle orta kısımdaki karlı ağaçlara bayılmak ne kelime, bittim! Çektim yaptığın yerdeki kadraj imkanlarını bilmediğim için "keşke dağın tepesini kesmeseydin" diyemiyorum. Dağ tepesi almak için geri geri giderken uçurumdan aşağı yuvarlanmanın gereği yok.

Süper bir fotoğraf. Eline gözüne sağlık.

Merhaba Ertan,

Ender rastlanan bir fotoğraf olmuş. Alışa gelmişin dışında bir kare tebrikler. Bilinen mekanların karlar altında fotoğraflanmasını çok seviyorım. Benimde bir kaç istanbul fotoğraflarım var galerimde. Ama çok iyi değiller. Tekrar kar yağsada gene sokaklara dökülsem. :)

This is an exceptionnal view of this monastery.
I usually look at the others view of the same place by cliking on the nam of the place to have a feeling of the place.Yours,is a earl work of art due to the fresh fallen snow at the end of the storm,with a good light on the mountain.

stunning place .. stunning point of view .. stunning sky .. beautiful frost and snow on the trees ... it is like a place from a medieval fantasy .. I wish you could have a bit of sky over top .. but I can't really quibble with this it is absolutely wondrous.

bu fotoğrafı atladığım için kendimden utanıyorum... görülmedik bir sümela fotoğrafı... kışın pek kimse gitmiyor da ondan mı ne... japonyadan kış manzaralarını hatta gravürlerini hatırlatıyor biraz...
sümelanın restorasyon sonrası -çatılı falan- halini çok görmek istiyorum ben de... bu açıdan süper, umarım içerisi de otantik hali bozulmadan restore edilmiştir... bu büyülü foto için tebrikler...

Perfect timing with the sun warming the snow for a little fog effect, and the dusting of snow picks out all the details in a lovely cold way. The place seems to be incredible, with this snowy hanging monastry. Pov enhances the size and that's a good effect. I just regret you cut the top of the mountain.

This picture is awesome. I like the building encrusted in the side of the mountain. At first is almost invisible as it blends nicely with the color of the rock. The weather at the moment created a colder mood. Nice work Ertan.

Wow Etan,
a spectacular monastery in a spectacular landscape.And with the snow,it's still more impressive.When I look down the picture,it seem cold,but there is a beautiful blue sky which warm up the harmony.I like that the monastery is in the cloud,it seems more mystical.A really great picture!
