I drove into Edmonton yesterday, and coming home today I took side roads, meaning gravel :) and stopped into all the very tiny towns along the way. This little church sat at an intersection on my travels.

Hi Karen,

Interesting the many styles of churches found in our province. I like the angle here and the good colours. Perhaps a coat of paint would make the building even more attractive though. Cheers and thanks :-)

Hi Karen,
Looks like an orthodox (Russian?) church. A version in wood and with a lot of space all around.
Regards, Gerrit

Hello Karen,
Always make good photographic subjects, churches :-) This one is charming with a touch of Eastern Europe about it. Good point of view and framing. Nice light and natural colours.

Very interesting POV you got here. Excellent backlight, I think not easy to capture. Well done.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hello Karen,
there's a very pleasant light on this scene that gives the colours a natural saturation. I like this little church because of the details, I like very much the way you see all the buildings you photograph because they have lots of character. Your pictures are great.
All the best.

hello Karen

Very interesting looking architecture style of this church especially the crosses on the roof and the blue part of its entrance door. A nice composition of this building and its surrounding. Very obvious to see that you have placed photography on your top agenda during the drive trip.

the architecture of this church is beautiful and intersting, very different of the churches in France!i love the white wooden walls and the blue entrance reminding the blue of the sky!The light is very nice, lightening the green grass around the church, and doing some long shadows!Very nice!

Hi Karen,
What a charming little wooden church you have captured here.
Love the eastern European architecture seen so far from its origins.
Nice blue sky to contrast with the lovely green gras that catches soothing shadows.
Regards, Tom

Witaj Karen!
Beautiful church. I like the frame, colors and composition. Nice place. Good work.

Hi Karen,
Very fine church and I wonder how old it really can be. It is difficult to determine the style (other than orthodox), but I really would not think it mattered to thos who built it, they must be very proud of it anyway.

Hi Karen
Very beautiful chapel
A photo with nice colours , POV , and calm atmosphere.
Well done
Best regards

Hello Karen:

This small chapel radiates much order and symmetry, the so linear that is presented in its forms.

The structure is formidable, and highly appreciated the shade. The composition is well established, noting a work like this, so lonely in the countryside. Bella the scene.

Oh, it looks quite Orthodox one, with this dome. And Five Domes design also... And a cross over the door. It's somehow touching to see how people who moved thousands miles overseas from home were stuck to their habits and ideas of beauty.
Very interesting place, and good photo also!

Hello Karen! Amazing church. Wonderful natural scenery. Nice natural light and colors. Good POV. Very good picture. Good luck!

It looks like the restored Pruth Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church by Willingdon, North-East of Edmonton. You photographed against the light here, but the result is quite good and shows a little-known piece of Alberta history.

Hello Karen,
I seem to miss out this beautiful image of this little church! I loved the nice and softing lighting over the place with great sharpness, nice colour and details on the subject!
many thanks for the sharing
cheers
Tony
