Autumn Creek Photo

Photographer’s Note

I can't help but add another Autumn photo!

This was taken in Surrey, a suburb of Vancouver. Taken at Tynehead Park. In this park there are several little creeks and many trees with their leaves fallen all over the terrain.

Many of the leaves have fallen into the creeks, creating a delightful display.

Wat een heel bijzonder beeld, koos u F/22 en 8 seconden op statief dit is fantastisch.
We zien de rivier uitstekend bevriezen, uitstekende focus op de mooie bruine bladeren, prachtig schot, geeft me het gevoel van de werkelijkheid.
Wat een mooi perspectief en diepte, echt prachtig. TFS.

Hello Craig,
Well, when it is autumn where you `re living it is nice when you show us an autumn picture.
This is also part of the idea of learning through photography about the world.
Indeed the colourful leaves created a beautiful display in the stream. The waterflow is nicely frozen and did help creating the display.
Also the overhanging green leaves on the opposite bank are contributing well to the picture.

This is a fantastic autumn shot! It rivals many of the shots seen here on TE. I like how the creek is filled with the fallen leaves and now the are all clumped together. Clearly seen details in this photo. Great simple frame to accentuate the beauty of the photo.

As with most beside the creek photos one of the most important things to remember is what you include and what is excluded in the frame. The combination of green and yellow leaves in the flowing stream makes for very good composition. Great capture Craig.

This is a fine seasonal atmosphere, conveyed by different subjects in a different setting!
The vividly coloured leaves brought away by the stream is typical for autumn but seldom seen in photographs...

Splendor of the brook Craig

The great deep of field and good select of speed give a stunning natural picture. I like the idea, the space-time are freeze of the small leafs and the water flow movement and blue reflexion.

Hello Craig
Here's an example of how good focus and slow shutter works compliment each other to a fine extent. The fine contrast created by the fallen leaves in sharp focus with the blur of the running water is visually appealing. Also appreciate the inclusion of the small cascade in a diagonal towards the right, which accentuates the sense of speedy motion. A good crop as well. Fine work!

The low time exposure settings give a great effect to the water. The colours are saturated perfectly. I like the contrast between the sharp details of the leaves and the smooth water. Well done!
