Drone Views of Vancouver.
Time to post a few more Drone photos for you.
This is an area in Vancouver I'll never get to live in, or even near by. Its too expensive, high end with waterfront views.
I'll post 2 more in the Ws as well, but this is my favorite view because we get to see right down Richards Street splitting the city.
So where am I standing you may ask? I'm standing on the green grass in the middle, flying the drone backwards over the water. This way I can get a view of the city, mountains, and marina. In my 20+ years of living in Vancouver, I have NEVER seen this view of downtown. So thats pretty cool!
I probably should have chosen a better day to do this, as it was gloomy and overcast, but I can always go back again.

hello Craig,
The outcome from the drone's camera is very surprising, not only for the exceptional POV and dimensions but to the overall quality it produces.
A look upon town high-rise building from a unique and high point, clear and distinct.
Bravo.

Hello Craig,
It's an impressive view. In a way I like the WS "Higher" better, because for some reason I am fond of pictures looking straight down. I think I have offended you before by hinting that major European cities have more character than this kind of skyscraper jungle, so even though I know that Vancouver ranks among the most livable cities in the world, I am quite happy with the gritty 5 floors style of Europe. But no doubt that drone of yours takes good photos.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Craig,I have never visited Vancouver so any view is new to me.
I like the point of view where the main street is a leading line, besides being an excellent focal point.
Astonishing quality, well done.
Regards Jean.
P.S. How high will the drone go up to, and work effectively? (Not that I am even considering getting one!)

Hello Craig,
Wow, what a great view of the city. I love to see the long road in the centre cutting right through the city. Really nice that you included the marina as well in the foreground. We're probably going to have to change our itinerary for this summer, which means we might be able to meet after all. I'll let you know when we know more!

Hello Craig,
This is great! I just love the composition. Someone planned this part of the city very well, since it looks great from the sky. :-) I like the modern buildings and the marina. The mountains in the background are great, too. I'm trying to find you standing on the grass, but I haven't yet. :-) Excellent control of the drone, and excellent presentation as always. BTW, have fun in Portugal!

Hi Craig,
The wideness of the city is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the marina, of the park amd of the highrise buildings. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
This is the third 'birds's-eye' view that I have critiqued today but the first from a drone!
What an amazing overview of the city!
The skyscrapers seem to protect the parkland and the marina by what seems like a huge palisade.
It's interesting to see that the city is backed by mountains, making a useful dark b/g, against which the light coloured skyscrapers show up well.
Have a great day,
Bev :-)

Hello Craig,
I know Stanley Park is bigger but this green heart of Vancouver is much more visible in this shot. Good sharpness and nice repetition of the boats in the bottom left that contrast with the solitary yacht at right. Tfs!

Hello Craig,
A superb perspective over this part of the city. I like very much how you have been able to include the marina in the foreground and placed the street smack in the centre of the composition. Technical quality is excellent.

Ciao Craig

Really cool view with the mountains in the background and the boats in the foreground. Impossible to get all this in one photo shooting from the normal "human's eye view" point. Trully magnificent.
Have a nice weekend

Hello Craig
Long time no hear ......
I remember having been walking along this waterfront on our last day in Vancouver. I already south then that this must be an upmarket part of town. This birds eye view is amazing, I start to understand the fascination people have for drones. But what is the legal situation in Canada in flying these things in urban areas. Over here in Switzerland the restrictions are quite severe. But still we are considering to buy a small drone especially for photographing the property of my in laws in eastern Finland.
happy easter Sunday

Hello Craig
Fascinating picture of this beautiful city we will visit this summer as first. Indeed we have changed our plans and will start our tour in Vancouver instead of Las Vagas (flying first to Vancouver instead of first to Las Vegas was suddenly cheaper than the other way round). So we will visit your fascinating hometown from 26-30 July. I only hope for more blue in the sky and less dark clouds.
Have a nice day

Hi Craig,
fantastic point of view! Interesting forest of high buildings and yes you have position yourself exactly to show the street passing through.
The green patch adds so much life here, and even the bad weather sky adds some attractive mood.
I suppose I need to buy a drone ;)
Excellent work,
M
