Bird identification is not exactly my strong point. However, I believe this is a great white egret (the other choice would be great white heron) based on what came up in a Google search.
Taken at the Little Estero Critical Wildlife Area on Fort Myers Beach, I was able to get very close to the bird without him getting the least bit upset. It's great when they cooperate like that.
