Photographer's Note

This is a photo of the Middle Fork of the Saint Vrain River near Peaceful Valley, Colorado which may have a population of twenty people. This small town is on Colorado's beautiful "Peak to Peak Highway" along Colorado's front range. If you ever travel from Denver to Rocky Mountain National Park I suggest taking this back road.

This was one of my very first postings on Trek Earth last year and I feel that it was very underrated. Partly it was because I was the "new kid on the block" and most importantly I didn't have nearly the posting and editing skills that I have acquired since then. I sharpened and adjusted this photo by using curves, levels, etc. and put much more "snap, crackle and pop" into it. This is only my first repost and I doubt if I ever ro another one. The first photo looks flat and dull compared to my updated one. This was scanned from an original Velvia slide and I consider this photo to be an abstract nature scene which is a study in form. It has a zenlike mood to it in my opinion.
