Photographer's Note

View of taro fields in Hanalei valley from a popular lookout point in Princeville, a posh resort on the north coast of Kauai, taken at 22mm focal length about 45 min before sunset. Most of Hawaii's taro is grown on Kauai. Taro has edible roots used to make a dish named poi, and the plant is said to be good for the health. As with most foods that are good for you, it tastes like crap, except when it is fried like chips, in which case it is not so good for the health. I will add a closeup of taro plants to WS.
