Photographer's Note

When we were driving towards Willandra NP in western NSW we didn't know whether we'd be allowed in as it had been raining and the park was closed. Luckily they opened it again on the day we arrived where we stayed in an old worker's cottage (not the buildings in this photo).
The park used to be a large working sheep station. This photo shows the shearers' quarters and dining room. On the extreme right the last building is a wired in room for hanging sheep that had been slaughtered for meat to feed the shearers.
To this side you can see water still lying around from the rain.
We had the whole park to ourselves apart from 1 artist who was camping there. There weren't even any park rangers around.

Best in the large view.
