Photographer’s Note
Cheetham Wetlands consists of lagoons and saltmarsh of varying salinity levels created through the activities of a Saltworks that used to operate in the area. Deliberate creation of a number of relatively shallow ponds provides an environment which attracts many birds who like to feed on vegetation, insects, larvae and other small animals both in the water and on the pond floor. The Wetlands are protected, through international agreements, as important habitats for wildlife and are not open to the public. The only way to view the wetlands is from the observation tower.

Hi Stephen!
I love the patterns here, the succession of curves, the two half moons of water, and the charming hues of the sand. The horizontal lines of the vegetation at the top enhance beautifully the graphism. Congratulations!

I love posts that are interesting, encouraging and/or informative documents of the environment and at the same time are pieces of graphic art. This arresting image and your note certainly qualify. Very nice work.

Hi Steve. You left this beauty hibernating for a while. Taken when you wandered off by yourself no doubt. Good idea to move away from all the chatter and focus on composition, balance, patterns, colour and light. Masterful touch. The combination of curves bottom half and parallels top half was an excellent idea. Regards. Klaudio.

Nice one Steve, Surprised that it took you so long to post it. Thought it may be an orphan hey, it proved to be quite the opposite. Nice colour & interesting smooth lines & curves.
Cheers

Hello Steve,
This POV works well in capturing the curves which is facinating, without missing out the pockets of waters in the background. Having that green patch at the bottom of the verical format is a smart trick in filling in an otherwise featureless area.
Nice work
Regards
Alfred
