Hello Andrew! I just made a critic to the picture beside you that has also plenty of sky and left the town below and I really like that approach very much. What I like here are the fine clouds when you "look" up but also this yellow part on the skyscraper that somehow sticks out up there, glowing down. The orange is the warm part in this shot but I also find "your" blue very special. Excellent "town work" ... Barbara.

Bonjour Andrew,
spectaculaire prise de vue où l'oeil s'égare soit sur les bâtiments soit sur le ciel .
Bonne journée.

Hello Andrew,
I love the way the clouds are dispersing, revealing the sky and the sharply, detailed buildings, very much like a magician pulling away his voile cloth!
I am amazed how you can make us feel that we are lifting our heads and peering upwards when we are, in fact, looking straight forward.
The colours are very rich indeed.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Andrew,
A good capture of this unusual building, which stands out well against the saturated sky and makes an interesting contrast with the surrounding buildings. Very good colours and clarity. Interesting note.
Hi Andrew,
I love those clouds in the uppert part of the picture. Those colours are kind of extremely saturated. Did you push them?
Best wishes
Marc

Hi Andrew,
I like the way the buildings are pointing to the sky, and with the clouds where they are in the frame it makes for an interesting composition. It's a super sharp shot, although I think the buildings appear a little dark given what looks like it was a very bright day - but on the other hand you have great colours because of this.

Hi Andrew,
I like your idea of showing us the drifting clouds, and it is really amazing how one gets the feeling of lifting the head! Due to your perspective the sky scrapers seem to be quite small compared with the bulcky building of the railway station. A very fascinating composition!

hello Andrew,
you can never go wrong with deep blue and saturated yellow or orange :) the light and colours are absolutely amazing here, good timing to capture this decisive moment. I particularly like your upward facing point of view, I find it works really well to create a feeling of a big sky over the freshly rain-washed city. the interesting cloud formation is a nice touch, this is a great shot.
with best regards,
Kristine

Hi Andrew, another effective composition of this building that I have looked at so often and not worked out how to shoot it without ending up with a cliche. The sky is fabulous, white and soft providing a perfect contrast to hard lines and colours of the buildings. You even managed to make the tram cables almost vanish. Your decription to Marc of how you achived the colours was useful. Cheers, Steve

Hello Andrew,
Your exposure: f/10.0, 1/160 seconds is very well for this image.
Above the white clouds make a good frame and care for one white hat above the buildings.
Also a very good architecture photograph with to the left the new skyscraper and to the right the nice old architecture.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Bonjour, cher Andrew,

Marvelous composition but somehow surreal those clouds are in the sense that a division of clouds and sky is well seen. The polarized sky contrast pretty well with color of the station. nice shot, your wide angle lens delivers a dramatic effect on the overall scene.

Hello, Andrew!
the sky is fabulous, it looks like cotton :) but what really grabs my eyes and brings a smile to my face is the tallest building on the left hand side: it looks like a thermometer and the red line indicates the tempatures of comfort.

Hello Andrew, directly after the rain colors are always nicely saturated and the sky can be crysral clear. Beautiful work, rendered in high definition. And I love the interplay between the form and textures of the sky and those of skyline of downtown Melbourne.
Have a fine start of the week,

Hello Andrew, I like your approach here, an old Melbourne icon & I'm sure the new one will be just as famous with time. Those clouds were worthwhile capturing as was the blue sky.
I have never thought of looking at it in this way, not consciencely anyway, I like the result & all in perfect colour & detail. Nice note.
Thanks

Hello my friend Andrew:
The curtain of clouds seemed to be protecting the beauty and splendor of the buildings at the bottom.
The light certainly has played an important role to capture some beautiful tones, particularly in heaven and on building on the right, sharpness, brightness and definition. Unfortunately the strings of power, but that is something that can not be avoided.

It's those clouds that make the shot - I really like the way they frame the rest of the scene, and contrast with the saturated colours of the buildings.
The buildings look a bit weird, a bit HDR'ish or something, but even so I quite like the effect.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Andrew,
The wide angle is really marvellous when it's well used, like in this case. I like really much the big buildins looking for each other in the center of the image. The perspective and the dynamism reached are impressive! As well as the perfectly saturated colors! Very beautiful! Thanks.
Greetings,
Angel.

Hi Andrew, A very creative view of this famous intersection in Melbourne's CBD. The split into clouds, blue sky and buildings works well. Well cropped to remove most of the cables and wires that often thwart a good photo. TFS. Murray.

Andrew bonjour.
J'aime ces édifices qui s'élancent vers un ciel bleu marine occupé par un nuage blanc. La gare a encore très fière allure même devant la tour moderne.

Hello Andrew
Fine perspective with sublime colours once again, you are one of the best for colours here on TE. The orange just stands out against the blue sky. I love that blue building also, it reminds me of an old school ruler (excuse the expression). The cloud formation is finishes this scene of brilliantly. This is a fine capture Andrew.
Well seen and presented.

Hi Andrew
Superb composition having the buildings and tram wires in the lower part and those fantastic wispy clouds on top. The only thing I'm not sure about are the leaning buildings. Maybe the Eureka will fall - I couldn't believe how much it moved when I was up the top.

Bonjour Andrew,
un bon choix vers une exposition plus basse qui a pour conséquence re renforcer certains contrastes et l'intensité des couleurs.
Un cadrage très original bien fermé en haur par ce nuage dans les blancs bien balancés.
