Victoria Street, Auckland

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand with a population of over one million people
. Positioned between the Pacific ocean and the Tasman sea the city has become known as the City of Sails because of the large number of pleasure craft there. The Auckland Sailing Regatta which is held annually is one of the largest one day events of it's kind in the world. Auckland represents the largest urban city in New Zealand and is recognized as having the largest concentration of Polynesian people in the world.

As an evolving modern city, Auckland has undergone a revival - with an ever-changing skyline, a lively waterfront and a new blend of restaurants, cafes and bars, it has become a mecca for nightlife, buzzing with an atmosphere of fun and excitement. The region is home to over 800 cafes and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy superb Pacific Island cuisine, fresh seafood and quality wines in a range of dining options from trendy outdoor cafes and brasseries to award-winning restaurants.

Auckland's diverse mix of culture, theatre, art and fashion provides an array of cosmopolitan experiences. Be it live classical music to slick jazz or the latest designer fashions and trendy boutique shops, Auckland can cater to a wide range of tastes and styles.

Here in Victoria Street, Auckland, you can see a real mix of shops and businesses. I can see Italian, Japanese and Korean restaurants, a hair salon, and an internet café too. Plus many offices behind the windows too.

HI!
You put all these things in right order, so amazing composition of normal daily life of city... Perfect POV and colors!!!
regards,
Ivars.

Hello again Janice
I like such colourful town street. Great capture with the tilted road.
Regards

Like it! The slant of the hill, the bloke under the tree, the clarity and colour. There's a lot to look at! I visited Auckland a couple of years ago, for the first time in 33 years, and loved that Devonport place, great for photos.

Hi Janice. This looks like a delightful corner of the town, and you made a nice colorful photo showing the small shops and restaurants with a lot of detail. Having the amateur photog included below the tree is a neat and lively detail. Greetings from Tokyo.

Marjan

Hello Janice - I like this one, lots of colour & also good representation of the variety to be seen in such a modern city (one that I liked a lot on my brief visit). Composition & colours are very effective.

Hi Janice,

I really like your photograph, crisp and colourful, very cosmopolitan with a lovely composition.

I like the way the road comes in from the left then gradually disappears from view. The shot wouldn't be the same without it.

Regards

Stephen

Hi Janice,
I love the way you have composed this scene. Perfect timing! If the guy woldn't be taking a photo I don't thinkit would have looked so cool. Great job!
