Auditório Ibirapuera

Back to Brazil.
Allthough Oscar Niemeyer envisioned an auditorium in the Ibirapuera during the conception of the park, it was only realized more then 50 years later. It’s not directly recognizable as ‘a Niemeyer’ because of the simplicity of its main form – a triangle. But perhaps the curvy marquise above the entrance displayed here, gives it away.
Start of the project: 2002. Conclusion of work: 2005. Built area: 7,000 sq meters.
Architecture: Oscar Niemeyer (principal), Hélio Pasta, and Hélio Penteado (collaborators). Sponsor: TIM mobile telephony.

After the crit of Dennis I added a WS with a pic of the auditório in its parque and urban context.
And after the crit of Isabel I added a WS of the foyer of the building.

More info about the building is here

PCS3 tech: slightly cropped, altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, enhanced the edges, USM-ed, added a frame and resized and did a gentle USM again.
