Jericoacoara is a quaint fishing village located on the northeastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Ceara, 300kms West of Fortaleza. The town has gained fame as being one of the most beautiful and lengthy beaches in the world, surrounded by sand dunes and freshwater lagoons. Upon arriving in Jeri you will only walk on sand and drive in dune buggies. One of the possible rides on a buggy, is an approximately 50 min. drive to the lagoon of Lagoa Azul. Lagoa Azul and Paraiso actually lie next to one another and share the same white sand and tranquil bright blue waters. You will find several beachside restaurants which offer delicious food, fresh coconut waters and a place to relax in a lounge under a shady palapa.

Your image looks a little bit more exotic than mine ;-)
Wish I was there though, this water looks wonderfully crystal clear and the sky also leaves nothing to be desired, not even the small cloud is missing. Hope you had a great time down there !

The place looks wonderful (I know the State of Ceará, but only visited the eastern coast - east from Fortaleza) and I'd love to visit it one day!
The picture has excellent technical quality and enhances the natural beauty of that spot!

An excellent composition, with very beautiful vivid colors! I love the three parts of the picture: the beach itself in front, with the white sand and the blue deckchair half in the water, the middle band of vegetation and water with fantastic colors and in which the lady in the blue swimming set blend into the background, and finally the dynamic sky with its little clouds. Excellent contrasts and saturation.

Hi Attila,
Beautiful almost empty beach. Those sparse clouds look good on the sky. White sand, low water, and vegetation provide lots of interesting details. I wouldn't mind seeing those bathers closer though.

Jericoacoara is one of my dream destinations, as my favorite sport is windsurfing. The trade winds there should be fantastic.

It is a really beautiful landscape, looks like the paradise, and where I might spend a few relaxed vacations, as these girls.
I like much the great aesthetic effect of the white sand, and the blue tones of the water and of the sky, that in addition it has a nice decoration with some white clouds.

Micsoda gyönyörű hely, mondhatni, paradicsomi állapotok között töltötted a nyarat! A színek ragyogóak, a kompozíció nagyszerű, az előtérben lévő kék nyugágyak otthonosságot kölcsönöznek a képnek. Wow, absolutely amazing! I might just need to take a trip up here to see this place. Looks incredible! Reminds me of Lake Mackenzie on Fraser Island, Australia. The only other lake I've seen that looks like this. So this is fresh water? And can you stay around here, in pousadas, or is it completely deserted.

A hatalmas kék a kis fehér és zöld nagyon jól mutat, a két fürdőzőről és a két napágyról nem is beszélve!
A horizont kicsit tréfás, olyan mintha dőlne, de én nem hiszem el neki! :))
Amint látom azon a hoszzú parton tényleg jól el lehetett férni! ;))

Hello Attila,
I've been 'very near' this paradise place, at least the brazilians say it's near, to be honnest I've been in Praia do Cumbuco in Fortaleza district, which also belongs to Ceara county, the real distance was around 370 km :)
I didn't want to spent 5 hours on a bus to go there, but I know I lost one the most paradisical places in Brazil and maybe in the World, brazilians say that this is the most beautiful place in the world, maybe a bit strong but surelly it's an amazing place as I can see thru your photo and others I've seen.
I just hope it's still without a great amount of hotels with only few beach huts and small constructions to preserve its typical look.

Great color. I was there, but unfortunately, not at the time of year the lake gets this blue. It's July, right? Wonderful.
