On the way from Calama (closest airport) to San Pedro de Atacama, unusual landscapes give you the impression you're leaving this earth to enter some new, untouched planet.

Here you see some rocky sand dunes and hills in Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), close to San Pedro de Atacama. Despite the name (Moon), for me that's how Mars would look like :)

A spectacular view of this amazing desert. I like the longitudinal crop.

Hi Pedro,

I like this one ! We really feel on Mars (or on the moon).
It's a good idea to have put this big stone on the foreground.
The sky is a bit too dark, but this is an amazing picture.

Hello Pedro,

Yes, the landscape of Atacama and south Bolivia are incredible and your photo well shared this feeling.
The composition is very good with first the close rock in the corner then the red cliff and finally in far background the volcanos.
