For sure the most photographed and best known landmark of Peru. The picture was taken at noon and this was the max visibility of that day till that time. When I arrived in the morning the situation was more than desperate, with a visibility of 4-5m also among the ruins. Absolutely nothing was visible of the surrounding landscape. Slowly the fog disappeared from the ruins but the clouds still covered everything around. The characteristic peaks in the background appeared partially only for some minutes and I was ready to capture the moment. Sorry for the people in the group down who had to listen to their guide and missed the fantastic scene (:D...

Unusual to see the machu pichu like this, wihtout the predominance of green in the pic (here more greyish tones). Beautiful whith high contrast and good sharpness.

well managed exposure and good contrast added in PP, the impact is good for sure, this well known scenery is always interesting to see though different eyes, at diffeent moment, with here a dramatic mood with the fog,

Sembra che dopo la scansione hai fatto anche un ottimo lavoro in pp sulla definizione, che è eccellente.
Questo sito è sicuramente fotografatissimo, ma le forme dei banchi di nebbia - mai uguali - gli danno una sua spiccata personalità.

Végülis szerencsésnek mondhatod magad, mert a felhőkből előbukkanó hegyek és romok nem akármilyen látványt nyújthattak. A jó fotós mindig "célratartja fegyverét"! :)
Klasszikus kép, jól sikerült a gépre való átmentés. A színek nem túl erősek, de ezt itt most előnynek tartom, pláne ha a "szürke" időt veszem alapul.
Most láttam, hogy tegnapelőtt volt a szülinapod. Remélem még nem késő jó egészséget és sok boldogságot kívánni!! Meg sok sok hasonló pillanatot, mint ez volt!! Boldog Szülinapot!

Hello Attila,
Indeed it's different from what it's usually seen here with the mist covering partially this landmark, but i like it as it brings even more 'strength' to this place which already so mystical.
The group of persons doesn't bother that much as this is soo big we almost forget they're there.

One of the best scanned pictures on TE and of course the amazing of Machu Picchu is the best subject for photographers and that fogs really add point to the picture. Its a great work Attila and thank you for showing this...

Hát igen, ez tényleg gyakran fényképezett hely, én is láttam már néhány képet róla. A tiédet a felhők emelik ki a sorból, amik még fokozzák a téma amúgy is erős misztikumát.

e' sempre un bel vedere questa location cosi' suggestiva, e poco importa che il cielo sia limpido oppure che il tutto sia avvolto dalle nubi; anzi, cosi' come lo hai presentato devo farti i complimenti per la great mood che sei riuscito a creare. Impeccabile, come sempre, il lavoro di scannerizzazione che qualitativamente e' eccellente.
E' stato davvero un piacere conoscerti di persona e chissa' che non si possa ripetere in qualche altro meeting.
