Photographer’s Note
I found this clown in the middle of Sabana Grande Boulevard in Caracas. He was just perfoming his act and for a brief moment he posed for me with this incredible sad face.

It's a lost art Gabriel; to be a clown. Too much these days they are critisized...unfunny, ugly, scary, etc. What life is there for those that wish only to entertain...with a red baseball on their nose?
Such is the sad face; not lost love, death of a dear one, impending doom...No, it's that children don't laugh anymore.
Excellent photography,
Chris.

Hi GAbriel, this sad portrait is really very strong, reflecting so much about the clown's feelings. Those sad eyes tells the whole story...even enough for a photo without a note. I cropped the right portion of the photo to create a close-up portrait and let viewer focus more on the facial lines of expresion as an experiment...Thanks for sharing this excellent portraiture...Alex

Hi Gabriel:
The loneliest clown I saw in my whole life. Or as what Cris commented, it's a dying profession. But thanks to you... you give life and justice. Well done.
