Image of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of the animals and the natural environment, placed beside the spring of the river named after him.

Transcription of the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi, written on the sign:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Para mim, uma das orações mais expressivas e bonitas, a oração de São Francisco de Assis. Bela apresentação da estátua do santo patrono dos animais e do meio ambiente. Composição excelente, ótimas cores e nitidez. Parabéns!

ficou ótima essa foto mesmo, e acredito que essa nascente do rio merece muito mais fotos. Gostei do efeito do flash de preenchimento também, um detalhe que fez a diferença.

Não conhecia a oração dele, apesar de ter certo apego ao santo, devido ao fato dele ser o patrono dos animais e meio ambiente e como sou biólogo...
Gostei dessa imagem, o azul do fundo deum um aspecto bonito a foto. A imagem em si tem ricos detalhes mesmo sendo feita em pedra.

Bonita imagem luminosa, e mesmo ligeiramente surexposée sobre as pedras. Seria necessário que Santo-François de Base para além da sua bonita oração faça algo urgentemente para proteger o nosso ambiente e o nosso planeta. Muito boa ideia que fará talvez pensar a que se diz crendo e são ao mesmo tempo irreverente da natureza. Bravo.

Nice picture of Saint Francis against the blue sky...I think taking the picture at a slight angle had added depth to the shot..perhaps you could have also taken a shot with a low POV as an alternative

Hello Alexandre,

A fine statue showing this holy man in a dignified pose!
I can't really tell but it looks to me this is a rural location, as judged by the background...
I think the sidelight works well here giving a 3D effect to the statue, otherwise well framed with good details!
