Is situated in the south of Athos isle. Buildings what are you seeing are houses of the monks (kilia). They are composed with bed rooms, kitchen and a chapel where monks are doing their prayer every day.
Landscape is beautifull here but the life is not so easy.
This village doesn't have roads for cars, so all construction materials have been carried by mules from the little harbour. The same thing is about the food.
During hot wheather times, april-october, there are active venomous snakes (vipers), they doesn't attack mens but you should very carefull what are you steping on when you walk on the footpaths :-).
