Saint-Cadou church

Old vault branch, Saint-Cadou is, after an increase in the population in this sector, set up in parish in 1829. The nave and the arm of the transept could go back to second half of the 16th century. 1650, go back it to construction generally retained for the building, seems to correspond to a rehandling of an existing building. The date of 1663 as well as the inscriptions engraved on the bedside correspond to a large campaign of enlarging (polygonal bedside with multiple pinions, sacristy except work and frontage western, the excluded tower). The bell-tower was set up between 1688 and 1719. On the land register of 1812 is reproduced, in the North-West of the enclosure, an ossuary disappeared before 1878. The separate sides of the nave by columns out of wooden and the porch southern, of neo-classic style, were added in 1840, perhaps according to the project presented in 1829 by the architect Theodore Boyer, of Morlaix. The surrounding wall of the cemetery was remade in 1845. Repair of the frame in 1895. Forty beeches present in the cemetery are cut down shortly after 1930.
The village of Saint-Cadou, old city salte quarry, is located in the middle of the south-eastern part of the territory of Sizun dominated by the Arrée mounts in the middle of the Regional Park of Armorique in Finistere.
