Here is my 200th post after almost two years on Trek Earth. This old tractor looks brand new despite the fact it is 56 years of age. It was probably perfectly restored. I can compare it with the fact that after 2 years and 200 posts, I still like Trek Earth as the first days. It is a good source of motivation to take picture and to keep learning. Thanks to all members for the many critiques, tips and comments all over the past two years.
The Farmall was the name of a tractor and later a brand name for tractors manufactured by International Harvester.
Development began around the start of the 1920s, and the new tractor design was introduced in prototype form in 1923. In 1932 IH introduced an updated Farmall with a more powerful engine, which received the designation F-20. The F-20 replaced the original Farmall, which became known by the retronym Regular (after the introduction of the F-20). IH also added other new tractors to the brand, which became known as the F-series. These included the F-30 (1931), the F-12 (1932), and the F-14 (1938). All Farmall tractors were painted battleship gray until the mid-1930s, when a decision was made to change to a new color, 'Farmall Red'.
By 1973, IH had officially dropped the 'Farmall' name from its new tractor models. The announcement ended an era that began with the first Farmall Regular back in 1924.
On February 1, 1974, at 9:00 A.M., the 5,000,000th IH tractor came off the assembly line at the Farmall Works plant in Rock Island, Illinois. IH was the first tractor manufacturer to accomplish this.

Voici ma 200ième après presque deux ans sur Trek Earth. Ce vieux tracteur semble tout neuf malgré ses 56 ans. Il a probablement été parfaitement restoré. Je peux le comparer au fait qu’après 2 ans et 200 photos, j'apprécie toujours Trek Earth comme les premiers jours. C'est une bonne source de motivation pour prendre des photos et pour continuer mon apprentissage. Merci à tous les membres pour les nombreuses critiques, astuces et commentaires depuis les deux dernières années.

Farmall était le nom d'un tracteur et plus tard le nom d’une marque pour des tracteurs construits par International Harvester.

Le développement a commencé autour du début des années 20, et la nouvelle conception de tracteur a été présentée sous la forme de prototype en 1923. En 1932 International Harvester présente un Farmall mis à jour avec un moteur plus puissant, qui a reçu la désignation F-20. Le F-20 a remplacé le Farmall original. International Harvester a également ajouté d'autres nouveaux tracteurs à la marque, qui sont devenue notoire comme la série F. Celles-ci sont F-30 (1931), F-12 (1932), et F-14 (1938). Tous les tracteurs de Farmall étaient gris cuirassé jusqu'au milieu des années 30, quand une décision a été prise pour changer en une nouvelle couleur…rouge.

Félicitations pour ta 200e publication ! Et quelle bonne image choisie à cette occasion ! Ce vieux (?) tracteur est étincelant, comme à ses premiers jours, ses roues sont propres et intactes comme s'il n'avait jamais roulé. Son rouge rutilant en "jette" vraiment.

beau modèle de Ferrari pour ta 200ème... bien restauré la bête.
Ta note est utile car nous sommes loin d'en connaitre autant sur les tracteurs. C'est pas un véhicule courant par chez moi, sauf dans la plaine.

Belle prise en contreplongée qui montre le moteur puissant alors qu'il semble si fragile, comme une araignée haute sur pattes

bravo pour ta 200e et j'ose espérer te voir encore pour plusieurs années, ton cliché me rappel mon été 1962 alors que je travaillais pour un fermier à St-Thérèse et il avait un tracteur Farmall comme celui-ci mais je ne sais pas de qu'elle année, c'est de bon souvenir, merci.

You had me fooled here beause you like to go with old historic motor vehicles.
It does look brand spanking new and it is something how these tractors and changed little over the years.

Absolutely well maintained tractor. I drove many as this and is this one of the good things of the life to make it in the middle of nature.

Salut Denis,
Congratulations for the event. You chose very well the post to commemorate, the tractor looks like having gone out of the factory just to be photographed for an advertisement poster (consider this a compliment). The low POV makes it look very glamorous. It has also a kind of "personality", I imagine it as a character of some cartoon. A great photo of a subject with an adorably touch of naive.

It's great to see this tractor has been maintained so well and also great to see that you maintain your joy and enthusiasm for the site. one hundred photos a year is a level that can be maintained. I have very similar feelings to yours after 3 1/2 years. It seems to me that sometimes people who post every day get burned out after a couple of years.

My husband's uncle had a Farmall Tractor in Nova Scotia; although his father farmed only with horses until the mid-60's. I posted the uncle's tractor here. As you can see, I was sorry to see that it had been abandoned.
