Photographer’s Note
This was the wait for the start of the race. The event was the National Musto Skiffs UK Championships 2009. The boats are single handed, with a trapeze - very awkward to sail well. They are very light & tippy, so when not sailing the sailors need to stand up in the centre of the boat to balance.
The start line was a long way from the harbour, so this was taken on full zoom, with a heat haze shimmer in the air, not the best way to get sharp results!
