Hola a todos,

Hoy os quiero presentar, una de las pocas, plazas de toros cuadradas, que existen en España, junto a esta y algunas más fotos de esta plaza, que iré publicando, os mostraré este preculiar y fotogénico lugar!

Las Virtudes: con su plaza de toros cuadrada mas antigua de España, del año 1641, siendo una construcción típicamente manchega que combina el rojo bermellón con el blanco encalado y el Santuario de Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes construido entre los siglos XIV y XV. Con fecha del 24 de Abril de 1.981 y por Real Decreto nº 1443/1981 se declaraba Monumento Histórico Artístico Nacional.

Hemos de hacer mención a “Las Virtudes” como paraje natural, y recomendar que cuando uno se ha desplazado hasta aquí, no debería obviar pasear por sus amplias alamedas y la chopera por la tranquilidad que aquí se respira.

Contiene un santuario, de la Virgen de las Virtudes es el primero compuesto por una ermita y una plaza de toros adjunta. La ermita es anterior al siglo XV y su techumbre mudéjar, destacando también el camarín barroco con bellas pinturas al fresco. La plaza de toros es de planta cuadrada y está fechada en 1645, constituyendo un conjunto muy armónico con sus galerías en madera.

Today I want you to present/display, one of few, bullrings squared, that exists in Spain, next to this and some more photos of this place, which I will be publishing, I will show to you is preculiar and photogenic place!

The Virtues: with its square but old bullring of Spain, of year 1641, being a construction typically of La Mancha that combines the red vermilion with the whitewashed target and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Virtues constructed between centuries XIV and XV. On the 24 of April of 1,981 and by Real Decree nº 1443/1981 declared Historical Monument Artistic National.

We have to make mention to “the Virtues” like natural place, and to recommend that when one is had up to here displaced, would not have to avoid to walk by its ample tree-lined avenues and the chopera by the tranquillity that is breathed here, Historical Monument Artistic National.

It contains a sanctuary, of the Virgin of the Virtues first it is made up of a hermitage and an attached bullring. The hermitage is previous to century XV and its Mudejar ceiling, also emphasizing the baroque dressing room with beautiful paintings to the fresh air. The bullring is of square plant and is dated in 1645, constituting a very harmonic set with its wood galleries.
