Photographer’s Note
Last week was full moon so I went out to try some full moon shooting under the luminous sky of Appenzell. This is not that easy because there is alway an artificial light pollution source preventing only full moon lighting, after quite a bit of walking I found that traditional Appenzell house offering nice window highlights under the moon. About 7 minutes exposure in B mode.

Sers JY!
Ah, so sieht es also nachts in Walzenhausen aus! I recognize the Canon-lover's curtains.....
Quaint and peaceful - typically Swiss!
Have fun on your Nacktwanderung tomorrow ;-)))))
Take good care,
Linda

Hey JY! It was good chatting with you! I had no idea you had the 5D Mark II. Very impressive setup there and I am jealous for sure! You show great control of your 7 minute exposure. I don't think I've ever had an exposure that long. I assume the streaking is the falling stars we had last week. Good one JY!

Hi Jean-Yves,
très jolie prise de vue nocturne avec des couleurs bien saturées. L'ambiance est bien restituée. Bravo !

Hi Jean Yves,
Interesting to see how much a star moves in 7 minutes... The lighter parts of the house stand out against the dark background in a very attractive way. The back lights from some cars also look nice as underlining the motive.
Kind regards

I never tried bulb mode yet, but even post blue-hour it gives you a blue sky. Very good work. It's amazing how much the stars move in just 7 minutes.

Bonjour Jean Yves
Excellent in natural moonlight! The darkish mood is what it should be, though I was initially tempted to think of added light/brightness, but that would spoil the reality! Quite eerie actually!
Best regards

Hello Jean,
Never before have I seen the moonlight captured so elegantly. I think this picture is more of a tribute to the milky light which honors our earth for a few days every month than your subject. Both look equally impressive though.
Thanks for sharing
