This is it "Gavergracht" castle of Vinderhoute a village on 5 mile of Ghent.
This castle was built in 1807 in Empire-style for Mr. Van de Woestijne Clemmen to Dubry drawings, architect in Ghent.
It consisted only of a portico, a vestibule, two bedrooms and one lounge around.
This building was enlarged in 1817 with two wings, one wing composed of a conservatory, the other from a large lounge with dependencies.
All the experience and expertise of architect JB Van de Capelle were needed for one of these wings on a marshy land to establish.

Hello John,
A lovely warm light to capture this splendid looking castle, surrounded by trees, which look splendid in their distinctive autumn colours. The trees make a fine contrast with the clear blue sky. I detect a slight tilt to the right but nothing to spoil my overall enjoyment of this lovely scene.

Hoi John,
Mooi late middag licht hier aan het einde van de herfst met bijbehorende kleuren.
Het lijkt er van afstand op dat het kasteel wel wat onderhoud kan gebruiken.
Misschien had je nog wat lensdistorsie weg kunnen halen, de bomen links en rechts staan namelijk wel erg scheef en ook bij de linker zijkant van het kasteel is dat te zien.
Goede keuze om de grasrand op de voorgrond te gebruiken als kader.

Hier vlak in de buurt staat een villa die erg op dit kasteel lijkt. Ook met zo’n prachtig grasveld ervoor. Het was nogal vervallen, maar op het ogenblik wordt het gelukkig gerestaureerd.
Prachtige foto met de dauw zo duidelijk op het grasveld.

Prachtige foto John. Ik dacht al dit kan er geen van dit jaar zijn (tenzij het vroeger herfst is in Vinderhoute dan in de rest van het land). Waarlijk schitterende kleuren en een goed uitgebalanceerd geheel. Dit is een echte herfstfoto met alles er op en er aan. Groetjes.

Very beautiful autumn view of this castle. Autumn possibly is the best season, when the landscape turned colorful. Your nicely framed photograph - the trees around the castle are perfect and boost DOF - has vivid colors due to your fine light management. Sharpness is fine as well.

Eerst dacht ik dat die kleuren winter kleuren waren...Maar ze zijn mooi warm genoeg om de herfst te vertegenwoordigen. Dit prachtig gebouw vindt natuurlijk zijn plaats in het landschap: alle elementen werken heel goed samen. Zeer mooi gedaan.
