Photographer’s Note
This is a repost because only after the upload I noticed that the caption was wrong (I must have forgotten to change it after I pasted it). Apart from that detail, this image is exactly the same as the original. The original post and the critiques done until the repost are here.

Like the usual addicted, I can't stay away from here any more... It wasn't so bad seeing how is life without TE, but I miss the time spent here. I have plans to participate less often, 2 or 3 times a week sounds good, but it seems that, like other addictions it's easier to take long breaks with no activity at all than feeling compelled to spend hours everyday seeing the photos and commenting about them. Let's see what happens... Anyway, please forgive if sometimes I don't retribute all your critiques.
I spent my Summer holidays in Greece and this was exactly the first photo I shot there. I had the pleasure of spending the whole day with Danos, who reveal himself the best guide and companion one could imagine. It's a rare privilege having a local friend accompanying us in a visit to his own town, even more if the town has so much to offer to the visitor as Athens.
The building is the new Acropolis Museum that opened to the public last June, replacing the small museum that was built near the Parthenon in the late 19th century that was already too small to house the vast collection of archaeological findings in the Acropolis of Athens. The Acropolis proper is behind the POV and its reflection can be seen on the glasses - I wish I could have capture that in a better way.
With the construction of this museum, Greece is hoping to reinforce its arguments on the claim to the return of the sculptures that ornated the Parthenon that are known as the Elgin Marbles which are in the British Museum, in London since the early 19th century. One of the main galleries was designed purposedly for that important collection.
Our friend Batalay was there one and a half week after me and managed to post a photo much ahead of me. :-) But I guess the first post is this one from NickPavlakis.

Apaixonei-me pelo WS com aquele jogo de luz e sombra. A luminosidade dourada está um show!

Ilustre amigo,
Um excelente ângulo para mostrar a bela construção em estupendo balanço. As cores e o controle de exposição também estão muito bons.
Abraço

Hi José: I guess I must have missed the earlier post and thanks for reposting it. The image is nice and clear exposing beautiful details against the cloudless blue sky. About time with TE, I just can't stay away too long as I did this year. I missed all the friends here as well. Have a great day and keep shooting and sharing. Regards. Jusni

Ola Jose
Excellent sharpness with good colour and framing. The people add scale & context, as well as animating the scene. Tfs!

Um prédio bonito e moderno, muito bem iluminado, com certeza vai poder acomodar com segurança muitas peças arqueológicas. A composição está excelente, muito bem equilibrada, ótima luz e cores naturais.
