Praia de Dona Ana is in my opinion one of the most beautiful beaches in Algarve. Unfortunately everybody else seems to be the same opinion, people "vote with their legs", and indeed it is really hard to find any parking spot around. This shot was taken in the morning so it was still relatively empty.
The beach is to be found south from Lagos. There is another a bit less crowded and exactly as beautiful beach few miles to the south from Dona Ana. It is Praia do Camilo. If you drive or walk few miles south again you arrive in a place called Ponta de Piedade. Walk among those ochre cliffs is spectacular, although may be tough in August. I definitely recommend a trip (€10pp) with a small boat which you can rent on any of those beaches or in the Ponta de Piedade itself. The boat will take you for a trip around this fragment of the coast, you will visit small caves and other amazing rock formations.

witaj, ach, jaka wspaniała woda, tak się w niej zanurzyć... podobały mi sie w Algrave te małe zamkniete plaze, czasem byly niezbyt zaludnione. tutaj też nie ma tak duzo ludzi. Byłam na takiej wycieczce łódką, fantastyczne były widoki, te skały i małe groty.. . tylko, ze akurat bylo dość pochmurno i zdjecia nie wyszły tak jak bym chciała. Bajecznie to wyglada.

This looks like paradise!! The morning light is beautiful, and so is the color of the water. I like your POV, looking down. Were you standing on one of those rock formations when you took this? The patterns and texture of the rocks are also great.

I like a lot this sun-filled photo, the perfect postcard for a holiday location - blue sky, crystal clear water... the yellow umbrella adds a nice colour touch to the scene, but I'm not 100% sure about the branches in the foreground, since they are not "connected" to anything, they're a little distracting as far as I'm concerned. but that's a personal preference.

W sumie to nawet nie wiem co napisac, bo tak mnie zatkalo. Od strony technicznej zdjecie kapitalnie dopracowane ale swiatlo, na jakie trafiles to jak wygrana w lotka. Ja wstawalem kazdy niemalze dzien ok. 6 rano i nic- czyste, smutne niebo i slonce nie tam, gdzie chcialem. Wielkie gratki za to co pokazales!
Co do miejsca- gdybym nie widzial na wlasne oczy to pewnie bym nie uwierzyl, ze tak gdzies moze byc.
Kawal dobrej roboty!!

Ce paysage est d'une très grande beauté et ta photo le met parfaitement en valeur. J'aime les couleurs du sable et des rochers valorisées par les couleurs de la mer. Cela ferait un très beau poster.

Quelle merveille ! Cet endroit fait rêver ! Le point de vue choisi et le cadrage sont excellents. L'expo sur les roches est bien maîtrisée. Les couleurs sont un poil trop saturées pour moi mais cela ne gâche en rien cette belle photo.

Hello Mariusz,

I was browsing your gallery and I must say I like your style and your choice of subjects. As a seascape lover I appreciate a lot this oustanding photo where this famous beach is reproduced so clearly and with an excellent sharpness. Also the colours and light are really wonderful so natural but so brilliant! You must have found the ideal meteo conditions because also the transparency of the water is excellent. and of course the composition is very well arranged with that bush in fg that give depth and the rock to the left as a very interesting focal point.
