Point of Mercy Photo

Photographer’s Note

The August sun did not have mercy for us when we walked between Praia do Camilo and Ponta da Piedade (meaning Point of Mercy or Point of Pity in Portuguese). So I am full of understanding for those people who took off all their clothes and rested on this beach of which fragment you can see in this photo. We were told however that it was rather an exceptional heat wave this year and that Portugal is usually mild and pleasant all year round.

Jestem zawiedziona, ze nie widzę tych, co to zdjeli całe ubranie:). Mocne kolorki. Bardzo przyjemna ściezka schodzi z klifów. tez sobie chodziłam na długie spacery i podziwiałam widoki. Tylko że we wrzesniu słonce nie bylo tak silne. Fajnie widać te małe stateczki. szkoda, ze jakichs agaw tu nie ma, bo sa takie dekoracyjne.

Good detail in the land formation. Well composed with the two boats anchored offshore. The polarizer added some additional colour saturation in the sky.

hi, Mariusz,
you did very good job on the lighting here! i bet you took it with a strong day light, but i didn't see any washout on this photo. i like the blue sky and green sea. the tone from the rocks is very sharp! nice job!

Jesli mam wybierac, to poprzednie zdjecie minimalnie wygrywa. To cenie zas za bogate detale i ciekawa teksture skal, ktora w polaczeniu z fantastycznym swiatlem daje marsjanskie efekty. Po raz kolejny tez musze nadmienic jak i poprzednio zreszta fantastyczna obrobke, bez ktorej zdjecie nie byloby tak atrakcyjne.
no to czekamy na dalsza czesc seryjki ;)

bardzo udane Panie kolego i musze przyznac ze coraz lepiej ci to wychodzi! Dopracowane w najmiejszym szczegole a kapitalna ostrosc dopenia calosc. Swietny widoczek i nie powiem ze podobny do tych co mamy na co dzien w Iralandii bo tutaj miales wspaniale slonce, extra kolorki oraz lazurowa woede. Swietna fota.

Bonjour Mariusz.
Tes paysages souvent sont d'une grande beauté et celui-ci ne manque pas à la règle. J'aime ces rochers du premier plan avec leurs formes et leurs couleurs. Ils forment un "V" pour laisser la vue sur la mer et le ciel très beaux, très bleus.

Hi Mariusz,
a very nice and interesting place with the reddish rocks to spread until the sea.I like the tiny beach underneath,as the saturated colours of blue,of the sea and the sky.The perspective and the POV create depth as between the rock in the sea and the ground seemed a sailing boat.Well done.
