Yosemite Deer II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Part of the attractive valley at central Yosemite Village. I was lucky enough to get some deer in frame. This is the elementary school grounds. There's a waterfall cascading off the bg peak. Unfortunately, it clouded over, after only 15 minutes, so this is one of the few blue sky shots I have from this magnificent location.

Hello Chris,
Good use of the vertical format in this very attractive nature composition. I like the soft light and natural colours. Very good sharpness.

Hello Chris,
Elle est grandiose cette image. Il y a de nombreux points forts, notamment ces animaux et la cascade. J'aime aussi les différents niveaux du relief. Ah si tu avais utilisé un tripod ! J'ai fait un workshop pour atténuer la légère surexpo à l'avant-plan et essayer d'améliorer les teintes.

In addition to the fact that the picture is beautiful, I'd say it's even more interesting than that, because with this vertical format you could include so many eye-catching elements and compose them so nicely and attractively: from the cliffs and those magnificent waterfalls to the deer, everything is so nice and pretty!

Hi Chris,

The point of view takes my eyes from the valley to the top of the mountains which is giving depth and perspective to the composition. The capture of the water fall is an extra to the composition. The presence of the deers has an effect of scale. The luminosity has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Amazing nature, both landscape and wildlife!
Well framed with inclusion of the deer, and the fine light renders attractive colours...
And I think I see a football goal there, most surprising if I'm correct..!

Very good use of vertical format for this landsacpe well balanced in differnets vertical plans well delimited. i like the contrast between thses differents plans. Various colors and many details very well collected. A good and interesting post.

The vertical format works nicely here showing the mountains and falls in the background with the deer in the foreground. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness.
