Photographer’s Note

Off the road returning from Sacsayhuaman Ruins to Cusco with Verónica Mountain in the background. It was snowing in the clouds to the right...the first snow in 20 years in that area. The ground is yellow, dried wheat. I have a big (60" print) of this with two horses in the middle. Not the best shot (focal point is???) but I like the colors. Manual exposed. Processed in Panorama Factory from 7 photos. Yes, I did boost the color with a Velvia emulation filter to match what I remember that late afternoon.

I'm sitting on the other side of the planet and couldn't imagine what this area should look like. The picture says: - Come over here! Look how beautiful this place is!
