Golden Gate Bridge and Moonrise Photo

Photographer’s Note

I'm new to this site and a major purpose seems to learn from others, therefore I am posting this in that spirit. Ever try to do everything right and you almost do it? Even though I used a weighted tripod, the 30-50 mpg killed me and this stiched panorama is blurred (only segment shown - full is 17 photos - one of 5 sets of 17 photos with different exposures). I even used a VR lens. Oh well. Next opportunity is June 21. 2005 at 21:14 local time. Shot from Conzelmen Road in Marlin Headlands National Park across from San Franciso. The gate closes after sunset. You can "escape" via a back gate at the end of the road.

wonderful panorama, well composed and exposed. The perspective is amazing overlooking the bridge and the city at night. the colours are beautiful and the emerging moon is a nice touch. Well captured!

What a great image of the Golden Gate with the city of San Francisco in the background... and you managed to get the moon in there too...

WoW... the shot is clean... the reflection of the bridge on that cool blue water makes the shot interesting... the effort that you invested was well worth it!!!... thanx-

This is wonderful, the picture is not too dark, everything is very clear, the light is beautiful as well as the long view, great work !

Hi Edward,
Night shots are hard to perform. Yours is perfect and impressive. Colors, light are nether too much dark or too much clear.
