Photographer's Note

Slavkovský Peak 2452 m a.s.l.- a high and extensive peak in the side ridge of the High Tatras, departing from the main ridge in the Little High Vistula (Východná Vysoká). The peak is characterized by one of the highest altitudes in the Tatras - its northeast slopes rise 950 meters above the base.

In the chronicles as early as 1664 (July 25 - this date was adopted at the 350-anniversary summit commemorative plaque on the summit - or July 16) the first ascent to the summit of Georg Buchholtz with his companions and guides, including Martinus Jani, Martinus Veisser and unknown guide. Several other comrades did not reach the summit at the time . It was the first conquest of the Tatra peak, listed along with its name in written sources
