The cascade of Coo was dug in the rock at the 18th century by monks, so that the water of Amblève can supply a mill. It is only at the 20th century that one barred the meander to create the lower basin and that one dug the plate of the Mount of the Fogs to obtain 2 upstream reservoirs of a volume equivalent to the lower basin. At the same time, a gallery of deviation was built to deliver passage to water which borrowed formerly the layout of the meander
