On a after dinner walk to the Burlingame lagoon as always I had my camera with me.
The Burlingame lagoon is straight body of water with power line towers running down its length. Despite its name, it is not used for water recreation. Signs refer to it as Sanchez Lagoon and warn that access to the lagoon banks and all water sports are prohibited. The path is paved and ruler-straight. There are some benches and trash cans along the way, but the sides of the lagoon are not landscaped for most of the route. A path can be seen on the opposite bank of the lagoon near Hwy 101, but it is currently off-limits.
This lagoon is also part of the San Francisco Bay Trail. This little body of water is bordered on one side by Highway 101 and the other by several hotels.

Wow! Those are intense colors Cristina, as well as very sharp details. You've chosen a fine point of view, allowing our eyes to travel along the power lines into the distance. I love the fact the lagoon is as smooth as the sky above as though they are really different colors of the same thing. You make no mention of a tripod so I assume this is just good camera technique, since the image is tack sharp even in this dim light. Well done.

Hi Cristina, the thumbnail was already so attractive with these delicious dark blue colors! The change in tone from up to the bottom is so nice.
The power lines create such a depth in the picture.! How did you get those stars in the lights? Is that a special setting on your camear, or did you get that with your PP work?

This is really a great picture! I like the perspective created by the power lines! The colours are also very nice, very well done! :-D

The lighting is almost surreal, the blue positively glows. The powerlines and towers give this a graphic quaility. Well seen and well taken Cristina.

Veeeery nice colours and I like the star shaped lights, and the power lines are a good and unexpected object in the shot.
Thanks,
Magnus

Very artistic and engaging photo, Cristina! I love the light here, which is almost magical, and the power lines create wonderful leading lines as well. Super work!

Hello Cristina. I like this photo, not least because it shows that beauty can be found in what seem to be the most plain industrial elements, if the photographer's eye is able to find it. The symmetrical framing of the pylons works really nicely here, and the cables leading towards the back offer a quite strong element of depth for your shot. Also a very moody setting resulting from the dark-blue sky and the starry streetlamps. Very nice.

Hi Cristina,
hope you're alright!
This photo is amazing. Okay, the pylons and powerlines really do the trick here, but this photo would be great even without them - these parting the frame in two wonderfully coloured halves of blue is purely divine!
Together with your POV and the perspective including lights in the distance, this makes a very successful night photo and I'm really happy to have it in front of me for a long-lasting viewing pleasure!
All the best to you and those around you,
Robi

Not much to say that hasn't already been said - a quality night shot, very mysterious in a way that could not possibly be acheived in daylight.

a very well captured photograph with a lovely blue and nice sites in the background . I wonder what shutter speed you had ? Jim

What a deep view into the darkness. And all along the wires extending to so many towers on and on. The surface is so smooth and solid it looks like it could be concrete were it not for the reflections. I think this would be interesting to see as a portrait format. Perhaps with two or three images stitched so we get the width but also the tower tops. Either way it works great giving a beautiful and surreal feel.

This is very interesting and an original shot Cristina. Well done.

great night shot, i like the perspective and the composition, very good work!

great title and I can see it too, well centred shot, really nice, good lighting, well done

Hello Cristina,
Thanks very much for your attention and also for visiting my new Azores work that I expect you also like. I like the angle of view, the enquadrement you did wih the power lines and the good light capture you take in this picture. Excelent contrast and blue tones.

Very well done and composed!
Fernando

A really blue nightshot taking us deep in to the view with the wiring and to the lights at the horizont.
A curiuos unusual capture, well done Christina
Greetings
Henk

Hi Cristina, This picture shows us that the power lines can be pretty, if you view it in the right angle at the right time. A very well taken picture with a nice timing when you took this picture. A well taken picture with nice contrast, depth, and clarity.

Oh - I missed this one - as a Power engineer of education must this photo attract my eye's ;-) I like the blue dimmed light you captured - I gives a fine mode indeed together with the few lights and the reflections - thanks Cristina.

Very calm, very beautiful and a bit surreal.
A clash between nature and culture, a true suburban scene, neither city nor nature.
Suburbs are probably where most of the peple spend most of their time, but at least here in europe they really are the red-headed stepchilds compared to the _real_ cities, the century- or milenia-old city centers.
I hope to do a series of "sub-urban landscapes" one day, this photo certainly inspires me to do so.
