Photographer’s Note
A bleak winter evening at Storlien station this guy decided to cross the track even if the gates were closed. Not as dangerous as it looks though as he did it at the rear end of a standing train. He will be hurt the day he finds himself on TE....
Storlien is an outpost on the Swedish-Norwegian border along the train line and highway between the neighbor towns Trondheim and Östersund, only some 300 km apart. This is mountain terrain and the track runs fairly high, you can almost step into your skis at the station, the lifts are well within sight just a few hundred meters away. The surroundings are perfect wild terrain for cross county skiers too.
This year the snowcover was about average, about 2 - 2,5 m. As the winter is begining to get to the end the snow has sunk a bit. Still a few weeks of good skiing though.

I love this shot. The tracks and the lines in the sky (don't know how to call it) makes it almost graphical, but you have this man and the tractor disturbing it. The black shape at the left bothers me a little but it's not big deal. Thanks for sharing.

Nice framing by the windscreen .
I like the geometric repeating of the masts of the overhead contact line.
It seems, the man does not respect the powerful train, when he crosses the track.

I knew from the thumbnail I would love this one. I guess an effect of the lines that seem to be present everywhere, almost as a geometry school lesson. Almost forgot the guy in the middle of all this graphism. Nice shot Ebbe.

Hi Ebbe!
Good compo with the included details of the train in the foreground.I like the light mood very much that you captured here!

He is very lucky that it was you who is sitting in the driver's seat and you held the camera and not the throtle sticks ;-)
A very nice composition, using the engine's window as a frame, I also like the red light and the red tractor as (almost) the only color elements in the picture. Interesting shot, Ebbe.

It's not that track that's dangerous, Ebbe, it's the next one. I'm a bit amazed by the amount of snow - although a month ago - around the railway station. It's a nice shot with much perspective created by all the lines focusing at the far end of the switchyard. Also the mountainous characteristics of the surrounding nature are well rendered. Well done!
